The аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±½á¹û Business School is thrilled to announce its shortlisting for the 20th in the Student Engagement category. This recognition celebrates the School’s innovative and impactful “Empowering Student Wellbeing: The Sussex Peer Support Project.”

The Green Gown Awards, renowned for honouring sustainability excellence in the education sector, have acknowledged the Business School’s commitment to fostering student mental health and wellbeing. The Wellbeing Ambassador scheme, a student-led initiative, has been pivotal in transforming the mental health landscape within the School. Trained student volunteers provide peer-to-peer support, addressing issues ranging from academic stress to financial concerns, and promoting a culture of care and open dialogue.

Being shortlisted for the Green Gown Awards is a testament to our Wellbeing Ambassadors' hard work and dedication. Their efforts have improved student well-being and created a more supportive and inclusive community within the School.

The project aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Wellbeing), highlighting the importance of mental health support in educational settings. The scheme’s success is evident in the positive feedback from students and staff, as well as the tangible improvements in student wellbeing and engagement as measured by the Schools recent NSS results.
