South Downs National Park Research Opportunities

Are you thinking about a placement or internship with an external organisation?

The are keen to collaborate with students carrying out research in areas that are captured within their research priorities for 2016-17.

The priorities are:

  • Catchment management 'success' monitoring
  • Effects of species (e.g. deer, squirrels etc.) on the carbon storage potential of woodland
  • Estimation of the economic value of the South Downs Way
  • Evaluating best practice methodology for estimating carbon storage
  • Examination of the impact of the food and drink industry on the local economy and sustainable tourism
  • Assessing Grayling Butterfly distribution on the South Downs
